I'm very thankful for my life; everything that I've experienced (good/bad) until now has made me who I am today. I may exaggerate a little occasionally, but this is a blog and I've got to keep you reading somehow! ;] Sometimes people drive me crazy, this doesn't mean I don't love them. Oh, and sorry in advance: I like to complain a bit.

As you may know, I spent the month of September travelling Europe. Exactly two months later, I'm finally getting around to editing the photos/etc - So I figured what better time to blog about my trip than when the photos are ready..
[Especially considering my master plan of blogging while abroad just did not work out. Who knew I would be so busy? -- Okay..I kind of figured I wouldn't keep up with it. But luckily, I did semi-keep up with my journal.]
As I mentioned in my post the day before I left, I was uncharacteristically calm, provided I would be travelling internationally the next day. I don't know about you, but travel in general is an automatic stress-trigger for me (there aren't many) - not to mention I would be going to a bunch of new places, meeting a bunch of new people, and 'speaking' a bunch of new languages. I was too excited for this "stress" business, apparently.
Despite a few minor hiccups through airport security at O'Hare (we'll never be friends), and a delayed flight (nearly causing me to miss my next one), everything went rather well. I got in around 10, had some time to kill before I could check into my hotel, so wandered around Kensington Gardens. Finally around 1500 (yes, I live my life in military time) I made my way to Russel Sq. to find my hotel. Luckily, it was easy to find, and easy to get to. I checked in at the Contiki Basement, got my travel info, randomly bumped into some people from my tour, then went up to my room. A few hours later, we were to meet back in the Contiki Basement for our tour meeting. We met our driver and tour manager, I got shit for my name being S., then was sent off to a nearby pub to mingle with our tour-mates I met a couple from New York (by way of Michigan and Arizona) and a couple from New Zealand, and spent most of the night with them and some Australians I met earlier.. We got dinner at some point, and on the way back randomly found Mr. Brainwash's latest exhibit at the Old Sorting Office. We made it a semi-early night as it was an early morning on the coach -- the first of many..
