I'm very thankful for my life; everything that I've experienced (good/bad) until now has made me who I am today. I may exaggerate a little occasionally, but this is a blog and I've got to keep you reading somehow! ;] Sometimes people drive me crazy, this doesn't mean I don't love them. Oh, and sorry in advance: I like to complain a bit.

Bottom line: Everyone has a story; here's a part of mine ...

Oh beautiful Amsterdam.
I honestly couldn't find one bad thing about this city.. It's almost too perfect to be real. -- Some place you would read about, but knew it could never exist.. That's Amsterdam.

Another early morning (a reoccurring theme on this trip) began with loading the bus for our bike ride through Edam. The place was called Bike a Dijk (yes..and if you're ever in the area you should go!), and we rode through the cute little town that Sunday morning. There was a fair in town, and no one was out & about yet, which made it all the more picturesque..

Our next stop was a cheese & clog place - Irene Hoeve, in nearby Katwoude. There were soo many kinds of Gouda to sample and they were all way too delicious..and let's not forget the berry wine. ;] Alas, I bought nothing. (Hmm.) The clog-making demonstration was quite informative, and the man demonstrating makes them so quick! But I suppose one should, if that's what you're known for. There are a ton of benefits to wearing wooden clogs - none that I remember specifically, but you should buy some. Basically.

After some photos in the giant clog outside (a tourist must), we drove back into Amsterdam. The bus left us right outside Central Station - Some people wanted to go to the Anne Frank Huis, and though it wasn't on the top of my list of things to do or see, I tagged along. I'm glad I did. Those "stairs" really will kill your shins/knees though.. Take my word for it.

Next on the list was the I Amsterdam sign. It meant walking across the whole city, but what better way to see it? We may have gotten lost a few times (I wasn't in charge of the map..), but we saw a lot of the capital! (Also, what is up with those public urinals? Seriously, google it..) // (I can hear Nat, our tour manager, now; "It's not wrong, it's just different...") We took some cheesy tourist-tourist shots, walked around a bit more, bumped into the Heineken brewery, then made our way back home to get ready for dinner/going out.

Dinner was in Volendam, which meant fresh fish for dinner. Dinner also meant starting with a shot (Flugel!), and plenty of wine. (!!!) Needless to say we had a nice time. haha Upon getting back into Amsterdam, we were to board a boat for our evening canal cruise. -- This also meant starting with a bottle of Flugel...and then unlimited beer & wine.

I'll let you imagine how the night ended.. ;]
